Doug Jones
Doug Jones is perhaps one of the most brilliant actors of our time. Some say he is this generations “Boris Karloff”!
Doug’s illustrious career spans 30+ years in television and on film! Currently Doug can be seen as Captain Saru on the CBS series “Star Trek Discovery” (perhaps one of the best “Trek” series to hit airways)! He is also starring as the infamous Count Orlok in the art re-make of the classic film “NOSFERATU”
Fans will long remember Doug for his work as THE SILVER SURFER in FANTASTIC FOUR RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. He’s also breathed the life and soul into ABE SAPIEN in HELLBOY and HELLBOY II THE GOLDEN ARMY.
In the Oscar winning film he wants to be remembered for, Doug portrays 2 characters, that of both Pan and The Pale Man in PAN’S LABYRINTH. Little trivia fact: He learned all his lines for the film in Spanish while comparing it to a special script prepared for him in English!
Another fan favorite is the Halloween cult classic, HOCUS POCUS, in which Doug plays a goofy zombie (ex-boyfriend of Bette Midler’s character) BILLY BUTCHERSON a role he will reprise in the upcoming HOCUS POCUS II. And his earliest comic book movie appearance was alongside Danny De Vito as a circus clown henchman in BATMAN RETURNS.
Doug teamed up again with director Guillermo del Toro to bring an original story to life in the Oscar winning film “The Shape of Water”.Doug moves seamlessly from film to TV. He can currently be seen in “What We Do In The Shadows”! Previous notable television work includes FALLING SKIES, TEEN WOLF, FEAR ITSELF, THE NEIGHBORS, and the lead Gentleman on the Emmy-nominated “Hush” episode of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER!
Currently in production is a feature length documentary film all about Doug’s life! The film will cover his early beginnings, his struggles in Hollywood, his rise to the most sought after creature actor, and his continued place in the history of Hollywood! The film is being produced by Coolwaters Productions LLC & Hellcat Productions. The film is being executive produced by Derek Maki and directed by William Conlin who directed the documentary “Making Apes: The Artists Who Changed Film”.

Melody Starya Mobley
Meet Melody Starya Mobley as she shares her experiences as the first black woman serving as a forester for the USDA. Her story is remarkable: both for the firsts she embodies and for the years of abuse and oppression she experienced within that system. Now, Melody shares her personal stories to create positive change for groups historically excluded from accessing American natural spaces. With the few federal protections that exist currently being stripped away, it’s more important than ever for stories like these to be told. To read more of Melody’s writing, visit her website: https://www.starya.org/
Mobley, a forester for nearly 48 years, retired from the USDA Forest Service in 2005 and now lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her dogs and cat. Melody serves on the Forestry and Natural Resources Commission, the NAACP Environment and Climate Justice Committee, and is on the Board of Directors for EcoAction Arlington, a non-profit that helps restore and protect natural places. She spends most of her time in retirement volunteering in her local community by registering voters in underserved communities, teaching science and math in Arlington public schools, and serving as a DEI strategist for new and established organizations focused on environmental and social justice.
Melody is also the chair of the Arlington Public School Science Advisory Committee. Her USDA Forest Service uniform and tools were accepted into the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of African American History and Culture permanent collections and her name is on the Wall of Honor in the National Museum of the American Indian.
