Two literature pro(f)s bring their expertise to the comics table. What can we look for when we read? How can we read for a deeper meaning within the pages? Spending a little energy understanding the visual construction and social context of comics can heighten the reading experience. We’ll take a close and critical look at Marvel Rising: Ms. Marvel/Squirrel Girl as a case study.
