This Tuesday’s practice run takes off at 5:30PM

We'll be practicing our pacing and breathing Tuesday at 5:30 PM!

Where: Meet at the Spring Creek Trail behind Dungeons & Drafts. Parking is also available at The Fort Collins Club just east of D&D.
Tonight's Practice Run
Course: We're going WEST to Spring Creek Park's Fire Station and back again.

Total distance: 2 miles - run for 4 minutes, walk for 3 minutes.

Plan on about 25-30 minutes with a 5-minute warm-up and stretch.

Check In: Stop at the registration table so we can check you in.

Weather: We’ll have a possibly slightly rainy low-50's evening, but since this is Colorado, check the forecast 15 minutes before you head out and dress appropriately - since it might be getting dark, make sure to have something reflective on!

What to Wear: Breathable, sweat-wicking fabrics such as polyester are preferable. Loose clothing that you can easily breathe in is best. Layers are key! You will be able to leave your jackets and water bottles at the check-in table so feel free to come bundled up.

Shoes: Wear comfortable running shoes (no, Chucks and Vans are not appropriate footwear) that are already broken in. If you have new shoes, break them in today with a walk! We don't want any new shoes slowing you down with blistered heels!

Course Rules: The trails are public and popular. There will be bikes, skateboards, and dogs coming and going around you. Be courteous and safe by taking up no more than half of the trail. Passing bikes may ring a bell or yell "On your left!" when passing. Take a moment to make sure you’re in your lane. Stay aware of your surroundings, and leave your headphones at home.

Course Elements: None, this time - it's a practice run!

Your Mission: Have fun, practice your pacing and breathing.

TaeKwonDo Skills:
Self-Defense: It wouldn’t be martial arts if you weren’t learning self-defense. In every one of our programs, we teach valuable self-defense skills that can aid you for the rest of your life. We work in conjunction with the American Taekwondo Association (ATA) to provide a comprehensive self-defense education in the discipline of taekwondo.

Physical Fitness: Martial arts work both the body and mind, and if you’re looking for an activity that will encourage you or your children to be active, our programs are a perfect choice. Martial arts are physically demanding in nature. In addition to the natural workout you’ll get from mastering taekwondo techniques, we also include physical conditioning from time to time in our classes.

Camaraderie and Bonding: Martial arts are an amazing way to meet other like-minded people. Whether you’re looking for new friends that your child can bond with, or you’re an adult who’s stuck in the rut of not having any avenues to meet new people, you’ll be able to make friends and form connections with fellow martial arts students.

Self-Discipline: A strong aspect of martial arts, our style of taekwondo included, is the emphasis on self-discipline and having control over your body and mind. Walking the path to black belt will help you to hone these skills, which will be inestimably useful for the rest of your life.

About the Show:
"Experience the Aurora"
Over seven months in the Arctic Circle, our crews captured timelapse images of the Aurora Borealis with high-resolution digital SLR cameras outfitted with fisheye lenses. The results are spectacular. For the first time, the Aurora has been captured as it was meant to be experienced, as a display that covers the entire sky. This immersive show shares the science behind the aurora and tells the story of our quest to find and photograph the aurora for wraparound display in full-dome theaters.
